Information…Up for sale is an incredible pair of Celestion Ditton 44 Speakers. Amazing quality vintage Celestions – becoming rarer and rarer in this condition. These are the MK2 version which have the beautifully veneered fronts to them. The sound quality is amazing, with a deep bass, crisp treble and a detailed soundstage. Work equally as well with low and high power amps. Will blow modern day loudspeakers out of the water. I do have the grills but one needs new grill cloth which I will hopefully sort this weekend. Two badges are present and correct. Couple of marks – see the photos. Condition is very good for age. Label states 10-100watts rms,frequency response 25HZ – 40HZ. I only bought them recently after lusting after a pair for years but sadly upon arrival they are too big for my relatively small living room so with a heavy heart they have to go. STRICTLY COLLECTION ONLY – Please don’t ask if I will post as there is no way I’m sending these in the post.

Information…CELESTION 300RE-SURROUNDED MID/BASS – COSMETIC MARKS (SEE PICTURES BELOW) – PERFECT WORKING ORDER These speakers use the same layout of Tweeter and near identical Mid/Bass driver which were used in the SL6si, SL6s and SL700. They were designed in the early 1990s, RRP £1000 and are the 4th generation of the design which started in the early 1980s with the SL6 and S600. The floorstanders use a Transmission line design which greatly extends the bass output possible, this makes them very heavy and solid. These examples have some cosmetic marks (see pictures below), however the veneer is very thick so if you wish you could strip the cabinets and bring them back to original condition. Original the mid/bass drivers had a two part surround, however most of these have ripped over the past 20 years due to a design fault. I have resurrounded the mid bass drivers so they are ok for the next 30years service. Both tweeters were pushed in but have been recovered by an ex Celestion employee. These factors are reflected in the reduced price, i am selling on behalf of my brother so responding to any offers maybe delayed. Any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
